The lecture looks at how fans have broken down possibly Star Trek's last remaining taboo in their own semi-professional film production dedicated to their favourite cult.
Lecture by Adam Kotaška
Attempts to introduce concepts expressing support for homosexuality into official television productions based on the themes of the original Star Trek series (1966) have for many years run up against obstacles. Those attending the lecture will find out about the fan films which have added the missing element, about the development it has undergone and about the forms which it has managed to acquire over the past ten years. The lecture will be accompanied by clips, in particular from the series Star Trek: Hidden Frontier and Star Trek: Phase II.
