Trans Rebels Beyond Stonewall
Lecture of Olga Pechova
Drag queens, drag kings and transsexual people were some of the most active participants in the Stonewall riots, which became the key point in the development of the sexual minority rights movement at the end of 1960’s. Even while in the spotlight, they were mostly outsiders within the framework of this movement, as they evoked too many negative emotions not only from the mainstream population, but also among gays and lesbians themselves. Ms. Olga Pechová, a psychologist from Olomouc, will give a talk about transgender rebels.
