Hammer!
The exhibition of experimental American filmmaker Barbara Hammer presents a selection from her works from the beginning of the 70´s (Superdyke, Women I love a Nitrate Kisses).
As one of the first female filmmakers in US, Barbara Hammer has focused systematically on the taboo topics concerning women’s sensuality and lesbian sexuality. Amongst her best known films are Dyketactics (1974) and Nitrate Kisses (1992). This year Barbara Hammer published her autobiography called HAMMER! Making Movies Out Of Sex and Life . Her films were presented in many prestigeous galleries, including MoMa and Tate. The counterpart to the exhibition of selected films from Barbara Hammer in the Fotograf studio is the works of Martina Uhlířová and Veronika Neumanová.
