Concert of opera singer Josef Škarka
A chamber concert with songs and a tirade about classical composers who, amongst other things, had to come to terms with their sexual orientation.
Josef Škarka (vocals), Jakub Žáček (recital) and Maroš Klátík (pianoforte) will perform songs and poetry by P.I. Tchaikovsky, M. Falla, Lili Baulanger, Ch. Baudelaire, G. Sand, K. Szymanowski and L. Bernstein. Songs by Lukáš Sommer will be performed for the first time at the Brno concert, composed around the words of Moravian poet Pavel Petr. This project’s concept is unique and presents the possibility for a wider audience to learn more about these artists in a new way.
