Gayporn: fight for identity…or just sex between men

Lately in gay porn there is a tendency to relax the relationship between identity and sexual behaviour, i.e. to reverse their causality: “You do what you are“ is replaced by “you are (now) what you are doing at this moment“. The post-modern shake-up of identities is obvious mainly in the erratic handling by gay porn of hetero and masculine categories, but also in the loss of sensuality of gay behaviour. So called hetero gay porn makes a fetish of heterosexuality as a perfect masculinity whilst trying to control it by “buying“ gay behaviour in genres such as “gay for money“ or “turned hetero guys“.
